01 Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or sign in to a CloudHem account, we may collect information necessary to provide your account, including:
- Name
- Email address
- CloudHem account identifier
- Authentication information provided by supported authentication providers
CloudHem uses Firebase and related services to provide authentication and backend functionality.
Connected Cloud Accounts
CloudHem allows you to connect third-party cloud storage services such as Google Drive and Dropbox.
When you connect a cloud account, CloudHem may receive information necessary to provide the requested functionality, including:
- Cloud account identifier
- Account email address
- Authorization tokens or credentials
- File and folder metadata
- Storage information
- Information necessary to perform actions you request
CloudHem requests only the permissions necessary for the features you use.
Files and Content
CloudHem allows you to browse, upload, download, and transfer files between supported cloud storage services.
Your files remain associated with the cloud storage accounts you connect to CloudHem. CloudHem does not claim ownership of your files or personal content.
When a transfer requires temporary processing or transmission through CloudHem infrastructure, the file may be temporarily processed for the purpose of completing that requested transfer.
02 How We Use Your Information
We may use information to:
- Create and maintain your CloudHem account
- Authenticate users
- Connect authorized cloud storage accounts
- Display files and folders
- Display storage information
- Upload and download files
- Transfer files between supported cloud providers
- Provide and maintain CloudHem
- Detect and prevent abuse or security threats
- Diagnose errors and technical problems
- Improve application reliability and performance
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with applicable laws
We do not use your files or connected cloud content for advertising.
03 Google Drive
CloudHem uses the Google Drive API to provide Google Drive integration.
When you authorize Google Drive, CloudHem accesses only the Google Drive information necessary for the functionality you have authorized.
CloudHem's use of information received from Google APIs complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy and applicable Limited Use requirements.
CloudHem does not sell Google user data.
CloudHem does not use Google user data for advertising.
You may revoke CloudHem's access to your Google Account through your Google Account settings.
04 Dropbox
CloudHem uses the Dropbox API to provide Dropbox integration.
When you authorize Dropbox, CloudHem may access information and files necessary to provide the functionality you request.
CloudHem does not sell Dropbox user data or use Dropbox content for advertising.
You may disconnect Dropbox from CloudHem or revoke its authorization through your Dropbox account settings.
05 Cloud-to-Cloud Transfers
CloudHem may allow you to transfer files between connected cloud storage services.
For example, you may transfer a file from Google Drive to Dropbox.
A transfer is initiated by the user.
Information and file content necessary to complete the requested transfer may be transmitted between the relevant cloud services and, depending on the implementation, may be temporarily processed by CloudHem infrastructure.
CloudHem uses this information only to provide the requested transfer functionality.
CloudHem does not claim ownership of transferred files.
06 Third-Party Services
CloudHem relies on third-party services to provide certain functionality, which may include:
- Firebase
- Google Drive API
- Dropbox API
- Google authentication services
- Other cloud services supported by CloudHem
These third-party services may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any cloud service you connect to CloudHem.
07 Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share or transmit information with service providers when necessary to:
- Provide CloudHem functionality
- Process requested cloud transfers
- Maintain application infrastructure
- Maintain security
- Diagnose technical problems
- Comply with legal obligations
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect CloudHem, our users, or others.
08 Data Storage and Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide CloudHem, maintain accounts, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
The information retained depends on how you use CloudHem and which services you connect.
When you disconnect a cloud provider, CloudHem will stop using the authorization associated with that connection, subject to information that must be retained for legitimate legal or operational purposes.
CloudHem does not intentionally retain copies of your cloud files longer than necessary to provide the functionality for which they were processed.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
These measures may include:
- Encrypted network connections
- Secure authentication
- Access controls
- Secure handling of authorization credentials

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

CloudHem and the third-party services we use may process information on servers located in countries other than your country of residence.
